Job summary

Orkin LLC in Daleville, VA is hiring a Pest Control Technician to join our award-winning team. You’ll start with paid training and build a long-term career in a recession-resistant industry.

Responsibilities include serving customers on your daily route, inspecting properties for pests, communicating clear solutions, and safely operating company vehicles. No prior pest control experience required; license training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain pesticide license within 90 days (company paid).
• Ability to safely use ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work on-site in various weather conditions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Inspect properties and identify pest issues, training provided.
• Communicate solutions clearly and empathetically to customers.
• Recommend additional services that bring peace of mind.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid)
• Use a ladder safely within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator.
