Job summary

The Nevada Department of Agriculture, Division of Plant Health and Compliance, seeks an Agriculturist 2 in its Las Vegas office. Under supervision, you'll inspect pest control applicators in offices and in the field, work with companies to correct non-compliance, and support the licensing program.

Duties include investigating complaints, inspecting dealers, reviewing reports, and providing education on pesticide regulations.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of applicable experience as described in the job duties.
• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Experience inspecting pest control applicators and licensing processes is preferred.
• Ability to prepare inspection reports and analyze regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pest control applicators in offices and in the field.
• Investigate complaints related to pesticide statutes and code.
• Inspect RUP dealers for compliance with laws and codes.
• Administer licensing programs for pest control firms and operators.
