Job summary

Lush Lawn & Safari Tree is seeking a Pest Technician to provide expert pest care on residential and commercial properties from our Brighton branch. You will work independently in a company vehicle with proper equipment, treating indoor and outdoor spaces.

The role requires evaluating properties, maintaining detailed notes, educating customers, and driving safety. Outdoor work in all weather conditions is expected, with on-the-job training and potential certification support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 7A certification (MDARD) preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Apply pesticides per state regulations at customers' properties.
• Evaluate properties on each visit and note pest concerns.
• Maintain detailed visit notes and report field issues.
• Educate customers on practices, products, and results.
• Manage designated route and operate field equipment safely.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

General Job Objectives

Responsible for ensuring that our customers expectations for their pest control are being met or exceeded.

Position Summary

The Pest Technician assists in providing expert pest care services on residential and commercial properties. As a certified technician, you work independently in a company provided vehicle and with proper equipment to treat inside and outside of customer's properties. This position works out of the Brighton branch.

Essential Duties & Task

• Applies pesticide application in or around customer’s properties according to state regulations.
• Evaluate property on each visit and note any issues or concerns related to pest problems or other issues.
• Keep detailed notes about every visit.
• Communicate with office about any issues in the field.
• Educate customer on best practices, products used, and results by delivering exceptional customer service.
• Keep customers up to date on their pest care program.
• Safely and properly operate company equipment. Responsible for maintaining company vehicles.
• Manage designated route and territory.
• Drives all non-CDL vehicles and performs (un)loading of equipment and materials.
• Drives company vehicles and operates other assigned equipment.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.

Desired Experience

Prefer Pest care industry experience, 7A certification (MDARD); however, experience is not required as we provide on the job training and certification.

Skills/Abilities

Problem solving, attention to detail, self-motivated, personable, team player.

Requirements

High School graduate or GED; lift up to 50 pounds, valid driver’s license and a good driving background. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
