Job summary

Switchback Logistics Corp is seeking highly motivated drivers to deliver packages using their own vehicle. The role pays $20.00 per hour, with $12 base plus $8 vehicle usage reimbursement, and fuel is covered. Vehicles must be under 15 years old and in good condition.

This is a full-time role (4–5 days per week) with flexible scheduling and potential for additional hours. The deliveries cover Watauga, Ashe and Avery counties, with work anchored at the FedEx Ground terminal in Newton, NC.

Qualifications

• Must be customer-focused and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently using a personal vehicle.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid drivers license and clean MVR/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Follow through and deliver all packages safely
• Complete all pick-ups assigned to route within the scheduled timeframe
• Deliver and scan every package according to proper procedure
• Meet and greet customers in a positive manner
• Safely operate personal vehicle
• Communicate promptly with management on time-critical issues
• Maintain satisfactory condition of the vehicle
