Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Sterling, VA is seeking a Personal Training Manager to lead a team of Fitness Professionals and oversee Life Time Training revenue, hiring and budgeting. You will supervise 15-50 Fitness Professionals and ensure they are educated in the Core 3 Method.

The role emphasizes coaching, program design, sales and promotion of personal training programs, with weekly meetings and performance reviews. A strong background in gym leadership and CPT certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of personal training experience at Life Time.
• 2 to 3 years of sales and program design experience.
• 2 years of supervisory and management experience.
• Certified Personal Trainer.
• CPR and AED certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures an artistry level member experience on the fitness floor daily.
• Develops safe, professional, exciting and comprehensive personal training programs.
• Motivates and coaches Personal Trainers to achieve revenue and session goals.
• Ensures Trainers are promoting and selling personal training programs.
• Completes payroll and ensures payroll expenses are within budgetary guidelines.
• Monitors all personal training department supplies and expenditures.
• Manages 90-day onboarding for new Personal Trainers.
• Assesses performance, provides feedback and recognition.
• Makes hiring, promotion and disciplinary recommendations to GM.
• Conducts weekly Personal Training Department and Management meetings.

You will oversee the hiring and maintain desired level of fitness professionals (15-50) as well as drive key company initiatives and manage budget and P&L. You will ensure all Fitness Professionals are educated in the Core 3 Method.

Pay

This position will be paid on a commission basis tied to performance goals and will be eligible for performance pay based on metrics. The weekly minimum pay for the position will be in excess of one-and-one-half times the applicable minimum wage per hour.
