Job summary

Bob Adams Family YMCA in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Part Time Personal Trainer to design and implement individualized training programs. You will guide members toward realistic health goals and monitor progress with safe exercise techniques.

The role requires CPR, First Aid, AED within 30 days, and YMCA certifications within stated timelines. Responsibilities include scheduling, safety checks, and active engagement with members and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• YMCA Healthy Lifestyle Principles certification must be completed within 60 days.
• Certification by a YMCA nationally recognized organization (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM, ACSM).
• Complete YMCA of the USA New Employee Orientation e-learning course.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement personalized training programs with realistic health goals.
• Instruct proper exercise technique and safe use of equipment.
• Schedule and follow up with members and provide progress updates.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of Wellness Center and equipment.
• Support staff meetings and ongoing training.
• Communicate via required digital tools to stay connected about work tasks.
