Job summary

Holy Name seeks a dedicated Personal Trainer to join its integrated fitness team. You will assess clients, design personalized training plans, and guide groups to improve health, wellness, and performance. This role emphasizes collaboration with medical professionals and community outreach.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience, relevant certifications, and a strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and client success within a faith-based, mission-driven health system.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred for entry-level.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred.
• CPTR, BCLS, NASM, ACE and ACSM certifications are relevant.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Develop, deliver, and monitor individualized fitness programs.
• Perform fitness assessments/evaluations to meet client goals.
• Ensure gym safety and cleanliness.
• Generate new clients and support marketing through events.
• Collaborate with the Human Performance team (Physician, Rehab, Nutrition, etc.).

A Brief Overview

As a Personal Trainer, you will be a part of a cohesive, integrated team working to better understand an individual's health and fitness status. Then develop, deliver, and monitor programs to improve the individuals and teams health, wellness, and performance goals. Develop outreach into the community through schools, community programs, small businesses, corporations, and public sector services and staff.

• Knowledge of emerging best practices within the health and fitness industry.
• Ability to perform fitness assessments/evaluations to develop individualized programs for clients to meet specific goals
• Assists in the development, and refinement of exercise programs
• Responsible for safety and cleanliness of the gym floor
• Generate new clients/members
• Contribute marketing efforts through community events
• Ability to integrate with the Human Performance team: Physician, Rehab, Nutrition, Psychology, Sleep, etc.
• Any other duties required by the manager

Education Qualifications

• Associate's Degree preferred
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, exercise science, kinsiology, exercise physiology, athletic training, physical education preferred

Experience Qualifications

• 1-3 years Two to three years preferred experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• CPTR - Cert Personal Trainer upon hire required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support American Heart Association upon hire required
• NASM - Fitness Instructor Certification preferred
• ACE - Advanced Health & Fitness Specialist preferred
• ACSM - Clinical Exercise Specialist preferred

Pay Range: $15.49/hour - $31.78/hour
