Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and 6–12 months as a personal trainer required.
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science is preferred.
CPT or CSCS certification required.
Responsibilities
Analyze movements and correct faulty movement patterns.
Interpret body composition testing and make recommendations.
Create exercise programs for a wide range of clientele.
Conduct individual meetings regarding exercise and nutrition.
Perform movement assessments and review health history.
Critique client’s form and provide exercises to improve outcomes.
Handle administrative tasks such as billing and scheduling.
Follow up with clients to check progress.
Lift heavy equipment and sustain hand/eye coordination.
