Job summary
YMCA of Western North Carolina is seeking a part-time Personal Trainer in Marion, NC. You will plan and lead individualized exercise sessions, promoting member wellness and safety according to YMCA policies.
The role requires current Personal Trainer certification and CPR/AED/First Aid, with hours varying and a pay range of $25.00–$30.00 hourly. The YMCA offers benefits and opportunities for growth within a wellness-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Certified by YMCA-approved certification agencies.
- Current Personal Trainer certification (ACSM/ACE/AFFA/NSCA/NETA preferred).
- Maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certifications within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and instruct personal training sessions for clients.
- Provide encouragement and expertise to help clients meet health goals.
- Contact potential clients within 24 hours of notification and manage session schedules.
- Administer fitness assessments and document pre-participation information.
- Promote and sell personal training and small group programs.
- Assist leadership with wellness events and tasks.
