Job summary

Geronimo Hospitality Group is seeking a be FITNESS trainer to join our dynamic team. You'll deliver client-centered training, drive private session sales, and contribute to exceptional guest experiences across our clubs and hotels in Wisconsin.

You'll develop personalized programs, conduct consultations, and maintain accurate records while upholding safety and service standards. This full-time on-site role requires CPR/AED certification and a commitment to customer care.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Degree in Kinesiology or certification by ACSM/NASM/NSCA/ACE.
• Policies and Regulations: Knowledge of company polices.
• Sales and Marketing: Knowledge of promoting and selling services.
• Problem Anticipation/Deductive Reasoning: Use logic to resolve problems and choose actions.
• Written Comprehension and Expression: Ability to read and write clearly.
• Oral Comprehension and Expression: Clear verbal communication.
• Computer: Proficiency in Word and Excel and other required software.

Responsibilities

• Meet minimum private training sales of 20 sessions per month.
• Provide new member fitness consultations and evaluations.
• Develop individual exercise programs based on client abilities, health and goals.
• Maintain accurate records on client exercise programs and progress.
• Record daily work and client sessions in tracking system.
• Attend meetings and training programs; participate in seminars.

YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS

In this role, you’ll be a key part of our team, ensuring that every guest leaves with a lasting impression. Your voice matters here—use it to build the future, make an impact, and continuously improve the guest experience.

Under the direction of the Fitness Manager, you will provide evaluation of client status and deliver safe and professional exercise routines that are client based to help client achieve fitness goals. You are also responsible for achieving personal revenue goals each month while providing the best customer service and hospitality to all members and guests.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

• Must meet minimum private training sales of 20 sessions per month and maintain positive client retention
• Provide new member fitness consultations and evaluations
• Develop individual exercise programs based upon client’s abilities, health, and goals
• Be on time for all scheduled appointments
• Maintain accurate, current records on all client exercise programs and progress
• Keep track of each client’s training sessions and fee payments
• Enforce all club policies
• Assist in the development, implementation and marketing of all club programs
• Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the fitness club
• Accurately record each day work, the actual time worked and client sessions in the appropriate tracking system
• Active participation in meetings and training programs. Attend club sponsored developmental or educational seminars and programs
• Maintain valid trainer and CPR/AED certification
• Promote the company’s safety goals and actively work towards ensuring a safe working environment
• Interpret and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Actively further corporate objectives and continuously support improvement and positive change
• Make professional development a consistent priority
• Assist with special club projects, events and promotions

Requirements

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

• Education – Associates Degree in Kinesiology or certified by ACSM, NASM, NSCA or ACE
• Policies and Regulations — Knowledge of company polices
• Sales and Marketing – Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, and sales techniques.
• Problem Anticipation/ Deductive Reasoning — Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and then apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems and considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
• Written Comprehension and Expression — Ability to read, understand and communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand
• Oral Comprehension and Expression —Ability to understand and communicate so others can understand ideas and information
• Computer – Ability to develop and maintain computer records in Word, Excel and other software required by be FITNESS and regulatory agencies. Ability to develop tracking and report forms in Word and Excel as needed

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT
