Job summary

Salamander Palm Beach Employer in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is seeking a Part-Time Personal Trainer to provide safe, effective exercise environments and personalized programs for club members and guests.

You will supervise fitness areas, evaluate needs, promote club activities, schedule Fit Start appointments, and ensure professional service in line with the club's standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as a Fitness Trainer
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications
• AFAA or ACE certified group exercise instructor
• TPI Certification
• College degree in health/fitness/recreation preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of exercise and fitness areas and assist Members/Guests with programs
• Evaluate fitness needs and provide appropriate exercise programs and personal instruction as needed
• Connect Members with others and promote club activities
• Schedule and conduct New Member Fit Start appointments
• Update fitness activities on webpage or member communications board
• Handle daily processing of all personal training and group session accounting procedures
• Submit monthly forecasts for sessions, Fit Starts, and new client goals
• Promote facility amenities and club services while maintaining professionalism
• Maintain current fitness certifications (CPR/AED) and seek new education opportunities
• Maintain availability schedule and ensure daily assignments meet club standards

POSITION OBJECTIVE

ResponsibleforprovidingasafeandeffectiveexerciseenvironmentforclubMembers/Gueststhrough supervision of exercise programs, education of the Members/Guests in exercise and a focus on establishing a personalized program of exercise for each Member/Guest.Also responsible for promoting the facility and the club, while providing the Three Steps of Service to the Members and guests of the club.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Toprovidesupervisionoftheexerciseandfitnessareasofthe club,includingassistingMembers/Guests with their exercise and fitness programs.
• ToevaluateMember/Guestfitnessneedsandprovidetheappropriateexerciseprogramformeeting those needs, including providing personal instruction if necessary.
• ToconnectMemberstootherMembersthroughongoingcontactwiththeMembersandpromotionof clubactivities,includingwarmwelcomes,magicmoments,andfondfarewellsbyconnectingwitheach Member in the facility.
• Conductnew MemberFit Startappointmentsinaccordancewithclubstandards andtrackaccordingly.
• Updatefitnessactivitiesandprogrammingonwebpageand/orMembercommunicationboard,as applicable.
• Responsiblefordailyprocessingofallaccountingproceduresaroundpersonaltrainingandorgroup session(s) accurately.

• Responsible for seeing that daily assignments are completed in their respective areas, to meet Club standardsandascommunicatedinthe StarServiceFOCUSexpectations(i.e.orderly/organizedwork areas, straighten/arrange entry area, picking up trash/debris, etc.).
• AssistfellowEmployeePartners,Members,andgueststoensuredeliveryofthe3stepsofservicewithout being directed.Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team.
• NotifysupervisorofMember/Guestcomplaintsatthetime theyoccur.Rectify,practicingservicerecover, any complaints as soon as possible.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Highschooldiploma,GED,orequivalentrequired,CollegeDegreeinhealth,fitness,orrecreationrelated field preferred
