Job summary

Hampshire Regional YMCA in Northampton, MA is seeking a motivated Personal Trainer to support the Wellness team. You will conduct 30- or 60-minute training sessions, individually or in groups, with up to 25+ clients weekly, while guiding members on proper equipment use and wellness programming.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of PT experience and hold a recognized certification from YMCA, AFAA, ACE, IFPA, ACSM, NSCA or NASM, with strong customer service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Personal Training experience required.
• Certification from approved programs (YMCA, AFAA, ACE, IFPA, ACSM, NSCA or NASM) required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Plan & conduct client sessions of 30 or 60 minutes, one-on-one or small groups, up to 25+ sessions per week.
• Provide opportunities in personal training for clients with varied fitness levels.
• Lead member orientations and demonstrate proper use of fitness equipment and Wellness Center.
• Maintain Wellness Floor hours to assist members and keep the Center clean and stocked.
• Help achieve monthly revenue and session number goals.
• Serve as a role model for professionalism and customer service; potential to lead group exercise classes.
