Job summary

D1 Training is seeking a high-energy coach to lead athletic performance sessions across Scholastic, Adult, and Team Training programs. You will coach groups and individual athletes, emphasize technique, and cultivate strong athlete relationships in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

  • High school or collegiate sports background required.
  • Experience coaching teams, groups, or athletic performance sessions required.
  • Minimum 2 years of strength and conditioning or related coaching experience.
  • Current CPR / AED / First Aid certification.
  • Strong knowledge of exercise technique, strength training, movement mechanics, and athletic performance.
  • Ability to confidently coach multiple athletes simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, professional, coachable, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

D1 Coaches are responsible for delivering exceptional training experiences across our Scholastic, Adult, Personal Training, and Team Training programs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • High school or collegiate sports background required
  • Previous experience coaching teams, groups, or athletic performance sessions required
  • Minimum 2 year of strength and conditioning, sports performance, group training, team training, or personal training experience
  • Current CPR / AED / First Aid certification
  • Strong knowledge of exercise technique, strength training, movement mechanics, and athletic performance
  • Ability to confidently coach multiple athletes simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, professional, coachable, and team-oriented
REQUIRED PERSONAL TRAINING CERTIFICATION

Personal Trainers must hold a nationally recognized certification such as:

  • NASM
  • NSCA
  • CSCS
  • Or another comparable nationally recognized and accredited certification approved by management

A recognized certification is mandatory.

ISSA certifications are not accepted for this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Performance, or a related field
  • Collegiate athletic experience
  • Previous strength and conditioning or sports-performance coaching experience
  • Experience coaching youth athletes
  • Experience working with competitive sports teams
  • Experience delivering both group training and one-on-one personal training
  • Experience with athlete assessments and performance testing
