Job summary

D1 Lake Orion is seeking a qualified trainer to foster a positive, high-energy environment for athletes aged 7 and up. You will coach group workouts, supervise personal training, and tailor programs to each member’s goals, safety and technique.

You’ll build relationships, monitor progress, and contribute to a culture of excellence with opportunities for advancement, ongoing education and performance bonuses as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must have AED/CPR/First Aid certification.
• Minimum 1 year of group, team or personal training experience.
• Degree or certs in exercise science or related field with NCCA accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes.
• Maximize client retention through coaching, training, nutrition and accountability.
• Modify and adapt movements to individual needs and safety.
• Deliver guidance on proper form and technique to reduce injury risk.

A D1 Lake Orion Trainers must be dedicated to training and improving the lives of D1 Lake Orion's members Scholastic (ages 7-18), Adults, and Teams, by:

• Exhibiting passion, expertise, high energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service
• Starting and finishing workouts on time
• Assessing and aligning each member with the proper program
• Building and maintaining relationships with each D1 Lake Orion member
• Coaching group workouts, personal training, and teams
• Delivering accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition
• Teaching proper form and technique and keeping all our athletes safe

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes
• Maximize client retention through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability
• Modify and adapt movements that are best suited for the individual at hand
• Reduce an athlete's risk of injury by focusing on proper technique and movement patterns

Qualifications

• Has a valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification
• Has at least one valid certification accredited by the NCCA AND/OR bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or a related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience in group, team, or personal training setting
