Job summary

Crunch Fitness, located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, is looking for an energetic and certified Personal Trainer. The ideal candidate must be skilled in fitness and proactive in building a client base. Responsibilities include delivering expert training sessions, generating leads, converting them into clients, and creating personalized training programs.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, CPR & AED certifications, and a nationally recognized personal training certification. A degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology is preferred, along with strong communication and sales skills. Flexibility in scheduling is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong track record of success in personal training and client results.
• Experience with nutrition coaching or additional certifications preferred.
• Must be available during mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Actively generate leads through various interactions and community outreach.
• Conduct Kick-Off Sessions and movement assessments with new members.
• Convert leads into paying clients and meet sales targets.

Job Description

We’re looking for a passionate, energetic, and certified Personal Trainer who is skilled in fitness but also thrives on building a client base. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering expert training sessions and proactively growing your book of business through sales, outreach, and retention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Actively generate leads through in‑gym interactions, community outreach, social media, and referrals.
• Conduct Kick‑Off Sessions as the initial consultations and movement assessments with new members as part of the sales process.
• Convert leads into paying clients by delivering value, building rapport, and addressing objections.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales and retention targets set by management.
• Create and update personalized training programs based on client needs.
• Educate clients on proper technique, recovery, and overall health.
• Track and communicate client progress to ensure accountability and motivation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment and club.
• Stay updated on fitness trends, certifications, and continuing education.
• Collaborate with fellow trainers and staff to deliver premium client experience.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• CPR & AED Certifications
• Nationally Recognized Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA, etc.)
• Strong track record of success in personal training and client results.
• Sales experience or proven ability to close leads and build relationships
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field (preferred)
• Experience with nutrition coaching or additional certifications (e.g., corrective exercise, strength and conditioning, group fitness).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to adjust and operate all club equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and engage in physical activity, including lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing/walking.

• ACSM Certified Personal Trainer
• ACE Personal Trainer Certification
• The Cooper Institute Personal Trainer Certification
• IFPA Personal Fitness Trainer Certification
• NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, or Performance Enhancement Specialist
• NESTA Personal Fitness Trainer Certification
• NFPT Personal Trainer Certification
• NSCA Certified Personal Trainer or Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
