Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a dedicated eCommerce associate to lead online order intake, ensure accurate picking and packaging, and prepare orders for pickup. You will review special instructions, manage substitutions, and maintain quality control for perishable items.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with adherence to safety and PPE guidelines in a retail setting. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the eCommerce process for receiving customers' online orders and picking or delegating picking of orders.
• Review customer comments/special instructions to ensure product matches request; follow up on issues (e.g., substitutions).
• Ensure quality control and handle products carefully, especially perishables, during selection and packing to minimize damage and satisfy customers.
• Scan order products and confirm order totals for items priced by the pound; handle substitutions accordingly.
• Store orders at proper temperatures (refrigerator/freezer) as needed.
• Report customer issues, shorts, overages, damages to store management immediately.
• Research and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Provide focused and effective customer service and follow PPE and safety guidelines.
