Job summary

University Bank is seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to handle changes to customer accounts within carrier guidelines, remarket existing personal lines business when needed, and solicit new insurance clients. The role includes servicing existing accounts (payments, changes, claims, requotes) and maintaining thorough records in the agency management system.

Responsibilities

• Renewal Reviews of all personal lines accounts based on agency procedures.
• Evaluate customer inquiries to make an informed decision.
• Follow up with underwriter and customer through renewal process and with changes.
• Log all activities in agency management system.
• Maintain records, reports, and files as applicable.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding coverage, changes, claims, etc.
• Round current customers accounts when servicing the client.
• Remarketing Personal customers when requested by customer.
• Handle overflow of new business when needed.
• Assist Producer(s) when needed.

General Job Summary

The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for making changes to customer accounts within carrier guidelines. Remarket current personal lines business when necessary. Round current accounts with additional products to help retain book of business. Solicit, refer, and evaluate new insurance clients. Obtain and process information/documentation from carriers. Service existing accounts including but not limited to payments, changes, claims, and requotes.

Requirements

Education, Training and Work Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of previous personal lines insurance servicing & quoting experience highly preferred.
• Current Property & Casualty Insurance License in required lines (or ability to obtain license within 90 days of obtaining role).

Working Environment

Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space and/or a private home office or some combination which will be at managements sole discretion. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor allergens. Employee may work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk)
• Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard)
• Ability and means to travel to on a flexible schedule as needed.
• May be exposed to extended periods of interaction with other (listening/talking/taking notes)
