Legado Talent seeks an Associate Attorney with 0–3 years of personal injury experience to join our Dallas team. You will handle cases from intake through resolution, with growth opportunities into complex litigation and trial practice.

You will manage dockets, draft pleadings and settlement letters, perform research, and negotiate with insurers. Strong client communication, ethics, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of practical experience in personal injury law (plaintiff or defense) or closely related fields.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; in good standing.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills; ability to draft clear legal documents and negotiate effectively.
• Solid understanding of relevant statutes of limitations, evidentiary rules, and court procedures.
• Demonstrated client-service orientation and ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Case management: Independently manage a docket of personal injury matters from intake through resolution.
• Client communication: Maintain proactive, compassionate client contact and explain processes clearly.
• Investigation and evidence gathering: Collect medical records, police reports, witness statements, and expert referrals.
• Legal drafting: Prepare demand letters, pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and motions.
• Legal research: Study law relevant to causation, liability, damages, and deadlines.
• Negotiation and settlement: Negotiate settlements with insurers or opposing counsel.
• Litigation support: File and manage cases in state/federal courts; assist depositions and trial prep.
• Medical/damages focus: Assess damages and communicate value clearly.
• Case analytics: Track metrics and support process improvements.
• Compliance and ethics: Adhere to bar rules and confidentiality.
• Professional development: Participate in CLEs and training.
