Vogelzang Law, a personal injury law firm focusing on asbestos cases located in downtown Chicago, is seeking a Personal Injury Asbestos Investigator to join our team. This role is essential to building strong cases by uncovering work histories, identifying exposure sources, and developing accurate timelines of our clients’ occupational backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Investigate job sites, products, and companies associated with potential asbestos exposure.
• Conduct interviews of clients/potential clients, family members, coworkers, experts, and other parties to gather detailed work and exposure histories.
• Collect, review, and organize relevant materials and records (employment, medical, union, social security, etc.) and other materials.
• Identify and document potential defendants, asbestos-containing products, and exposure pathways. Complete product identification summaries based on findings.
• Investigate and visit worksites, job sites, and product exposure sources.
• Prepare clear, thorough investigative reports and exposure summaries for attorneys.
• Assist attorneys and paralegals during case development, depositions, and trial preparation as needed.
• Maintain accurate, organized records within our case management system.
• Other duties as required.
