Summary

We are looking for a compassionate Personal Care Aide to provide support, companionship, or personal care work with our in-home patients in Maysville, NC and the surrounding area. This role is part of Access Personal Care Services, a division of LHC Group.

Responsibilities

The Caregiver is a person who provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions for an individual to remain in their own home.

• Reports observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager and notifies immediately of any incidents or accidents.
• Drives safely, complies with traffic regulations, and wears a seat belt when business travel is required.
• Provides or assists clients with activities of daily living including bathing, hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, and transfers between bed, chair, wheelchair, or bathroom.
• Assists with household tasks essential to the client’s personal care.

Education and Experience

• Prior experience in home care preferred.

• Ability to work flexible hours to meet patient needs.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the patient.
• Independent worker capable of multitasking, self-directed with good time management.
• Courteous, good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
• Strong commitment to the organization’s goals, mission, and philosophy, and ability to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and families while maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.
