Job summary

Harmony Gardens Assisted Living in Ohio seeks a compassionate Personal Caregiver to support residents with daily activities and provide safe, respectful care in a team setting.

The position offers diverse shifts, on-site work, and opportunities to assist with meals, mobility, and activities while maintaining dignity and privacy. Training is provided, with room for growth in a caring community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents safely.
• Ability to pass background screening and pre-employment requirements.
• STNA certification and CPR/First Aid are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility and transfers.
• Assist during meals and monitor food and fluid intake as directed.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with recreational and social activities.
• Ensure resident rooms and common areas are clean and organized.
• Follow infection prevention and safety procedures.
• Document care and services according to facility policies.
• Respond promptly to resident call systems and requests for assistance.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, medication aides, and other team members.

Position Summary

Harmony Gardens Assisted Living is seeking compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Personal Caregivers to join our team. The Personal Caregiver provides direct assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), promotes resident independence, and helps create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for our residents.

The ideal candidate demonstrates kindness, patience, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional resident care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including:
  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Grooming
  • Toileting
  • Mobility and transfers
• Assist residents during meals and monitor food and fluid intake as directed.
