Job summary

Clarity Care Inc is hiring a Personal Care Worker for Appleton, WI. The role involves hands-on care, bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility support, and daily living tasks at our regional office. No experience or certifications are needed and we’re hiring immediately.

Starting pay is up to $17/hr based on experience, with benefits including health/dental/vision, retirement, and paid training. Flexible full-time/part-time opportunities are available in a nonprofit health care setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Personal Care Worker, or have previous experience providing personal cares and ability to successfully complete Personal Care Worker Orientation.
• Must possess a high school diploma/equivalent and/or related work/life experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid WI driver’s license, and ability to meet agency driving standards.
• Must provide proof of auto insurance.
• Must pass a periodic WI Caregiver Background Checks including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks, and/or that of previous states of residence.

Responsibilities

• Hands on care. Provides support to our Members by assisting with activities of daily living; bathing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene. Be comfortable using mobility devices and practice safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
• Completes all applicable documentation related to tasks assigned.
• Welcoming Home. Maintains a safe, sanitary, and welcoming home by performing housekeeping (vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning bathroom, dusting, bed making and changing linens); and laundry.
• Prepares and Serves Meals by following general nutritional guidelines, menus, individual dietary restrictions, needs and preferences to ensure Members health.
• Medication Reminders.
• Errands that consist of grocery shopping, etc.
• Companionship by spending time with the Member.
