Job summary

Independent Living Services is seeking compassionate Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) to provide in-home support across Schuylkill County, including Tamaqua. This role offers variable hours and requires reliable transportation, empathy, and strong reliability to assist with daily activities in multiple homes.

Responsibilities include assistance with ADLs, meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship, and accompaniment to appointments, while documenting services accurately.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to travel to multiple consumer locations.
• Able to pass background checks and complete required training.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient personality.
• Ability to work independently in different home environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and positioning when needed.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and tidying living spaces.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments when required.
• Support consumers in participating in community activities and social engagement.
• Follow each consumer's individual service plan and report any changes or concerns to the supervisor.
• Accurately document hours and services provided.

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) to provide in-home support to individuals who need assistance with daily living activities. We service all of Schuylkill County, to include, but not limited to: Tamaqua, Pottsville, Frackville, Orwigsburg, Pine Grove and surrounding areas.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping others and making a meaningful difference in their community.
