Job summary

Disability Services of the Southwest is urgently looking for Personal Care Attendants/Caregivers for Austin, Texas. The role requires assisting individuals with disabilities with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as meal preparation and routine housekeeping.

The ideal candidate must have at least six months of experience in a caregiver role, be 18 years or older, and have a clean background. This is an opportunity to be a part of a compassionate and dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have experience or training that demonstrates the ability to provide attendant care.
• Must have at least six (6) months experience working with people with disabilities.
• Must not have any convictions for certain crimes described in stated criminal legislation relating to caring for the aged and disabled.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing and grooming tasks.
• Support clients with dressing and toileting.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks as needed.
