Visiting Angels of Brighton is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Attendant / Caregiver to support clients throughout the local area, including Berthod, Brighton, Mead, Longmont, and surrounding towns. The role offers flexible schedules, competitive wages, and growth opportunities.

You will assist with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, mobility, and transportation, while adhering to care plans and safety standards. Training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care is available for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and reliable personal vehicle needed.
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed).

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Provide mobility assistance at home and during appointments.

Personal Care Attendant / Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Possess a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
