Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to support residents’ daily living and well‑being in a warm, home‑like setting in Ozark, MO. You will work with aTeam of caregivers and nursing staff to ensure safety, comfort and dignity for residents.

The role emphasizes ADLs, emotional support, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team within a resident‑centered care environment. Starting pay is $16/hour with full‑time day shifts available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and BLS certifications are a plus – training available.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide compassionate physical and emotional support while preserving resident dignity.
• Monitor resident safety and observe for signs of distress or changes in condition.
• Accurately document resident care, activities, and changes as required.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and fellow caregivers regarding resident needs.
• Engage residents in activities that promote physical, emotional and social well‑being.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Support a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment.

Summary

The Personal Care Attendant provides hands‑on assistance with activities of daily living while supporting residents’ emotional well‑being and quality of life. What You’ll Do

What You Bring

Qualifications

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed
• Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance
• Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.

Work Environment

This role is performed in an indoor senior living environment designed to promote comfort, safety, and engagement. Duties may include accompanying residents to supervised indoor or outdoor activities.
