Job summary

Kenwood Healthcare Center, part of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is seeking caring individuals to start as Part Time Personal Care Attendants and train to become State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA). After completing the course, you’ll be hired as a full-time CNA, with shifts designed to meet your needs.

The role includes training, supportive team, and opportunities within a large multi-state company, along with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience in a healthcare environment is desirable.
• Prior work/life experiences involving independent decision making.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and receive resident reports at start/end of shift.
• Monitor resident requests and needs in a dignified and respectful manner.
• Maintain a clean and pleasant environment for residents.
• Assist in preparing residents for activities within and outside the center.
• Perform basic nursing care procedures for residents as required.
• Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents and ensure needs are met.
• Ensure resident food service needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Adhere to departmental, center, and corporate policies and participate in training sessions.

As a Personal Care Attendant, you will:

• Participate in and receive resident reports at start/end of shift.

• Assist in preparing residents for various activities within and outside the center.
• Perform basic nursing care procedures for residents as required.
• Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents and assure that their needs are met.
• Ensure that resident’s food service needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Attend and participate in scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to enhance quality of care.
• Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.
