Central Bucks School District seeks a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support a student with diverse needs at Kutz Elementary School. Exact hours are to be determined as the 2026/2027 school year approaches.
Position is full-time with 10-month schedule aligned to student days. Base pay is $20.84 per hour, with additional $1.25 per hour if toileting support is required. Training provided by CBSD.

Duties include working one-to-one with a student with one or more of the following needs: autism/emotional/behavioural needs/intellectual disability/medical needs/physical needs/grooming and personal care needs/academic needs/organizational and impulsivity needs, in the classroom, specials, lunch and recess. Assist student with daily activities, both academic and social.
Employment contingent upon personal care services being required for the student's individualized educational program. Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via CBSD.
High School Diploma/Transcripts or GED equivalent required at time of hire (the minimum). Must work as a team member, exercise good judgment, prioritize tasks, effectively communicate with both students and adults and be a positive role model for students.
To work in a classroom environment for extended periods of time including but not limited to sitting, standing, bending, reaching, walking, talking, hearing, climbing stairs and occasional lifting, up to 20 lbs.
All employment is provisional for 90 days as required by ACT 168 of 2014, enacted December 22, 2014.
