Job summary

Genesis HealthCare in Reading, PA is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support residents with daily living activities in our senior living community. You will assist with bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, and ensure residents receive compassionate, high‑quality care while reporting changes to the supervisor and documenting observations.

The role requires a current First Aid and CPR certificate, participation in a medication course, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Current certificate in an accredited First Aid course and CPR is required.
• Participation in medication course is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language to ensure safety and well-being of patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, eating, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Inform supervisor and staff of changes in residents' conditions and document observations thoroughly.
• Follow procedure for medication reminders to ensure correct day and time.
• Answer emergency call lights and respond appropriately.
• Perform dining room duties and assist with dining needs of residents.

Responsibilities

Start your nursing career journey as a Personal Care Assistant where you will provide assistance to residents with their basic activities of daily living to support an independent lifestyle within the Senior Living Community. Your priority will be to ensure that our residents receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes individuals' needs and rights.

• Assist residents with bathing, eating, dressing, and personal hygiene as needed.
• Inform supervisor and other staff of changes in residents' conditions and needs and document these observations thoroughly.

Posted Salary Range

USD $15.00 - USD $16.50 /Hr.
