Job summary

Devereux is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living activities, health and hygiene management, cooking, cleaning, and recreation. You will document shift reports, incident reports and individual progress reports while ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment.

The role is part of Devereux Adult Services, a nonprofit dedicated to happiness, self-fulfillment, and social integration of adults in our community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; foreign diplomas evaluated.
• One year of human service experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess and maintain valid driver's license.
• Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies to reduce risk of abuse.

Personal Care Assistant

As a Personal Care Assistant at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need.

Devereux Adult Services provides programs and services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our dedicated team of over 900 staff ranging from highly-specialized clinicians and nurses to recreational and direct staff professionals, all work to one common goal the happiness, self-fulfillment and social integration of each adult in our community. As a Personal Care Assistant you will assist in daily living activities, including health and hygiene management, cooking, cleaning, recreation and documentation to include shift reports, incident reports and individual progress reports. You will maintain a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional and personal needs of the individuals we serve.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, diploma's acquired outside of the US must be evaluated
• One (1) year of human service experience working with children, adolescents, and adults preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Must possess and maintain valid driver's license
