Job summary

Clarity Care in Clintonville, WI is hiring entry-level Personal Care Workers. You will provide hands-on care, assist with daily living activities, and support Members in their homes within a community-focused setting.

No experience or certifications are required initially; training is provided. Starting pay is up to $17.50/hr and travel up to 80% may be involved as part of the caregiving duties.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Personal Care Worker, or have caregiving experience.
• Must possess a high school diploma/equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid WI driver's license and meet agency driving standards.
• Must provide proof of auto insurance.
• Must pass WI Caregiver Background Checks.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on care: assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene; use mobility devices safely.
• Completes all applicable documentation related to tasks.
• Maintains a safe, sanitary, and welcoming home through housekeeping and laundry.
• Prepares and serves meals following nutritional guidelines and dietary needs.
• Provides medication reminders.
• Performs errands such as grocery shopping.
• Provides companionship by spending time with the Member.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands on care. Provides support to our Members by assisting with activities of daily living; bathing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene. Be comfortable using mobility devices and practice safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
• Completes all applicable documentation related to tasks assigned.
• Welcoming Home. Maintains a safe, sanitary, and welcoming home by performing housekeeping (vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning bathroom, dusting, bed making and changing linens); and laundry.
• Prepares and Serves Meals by following general nutritional guidelines, menus, individual dietary restrictions, needs and preferences to ensure Members health.
• Medication Reminders.
• Errands that consist of grocery shopping, etc.
• Companionship by spending time with the Member.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a certified Personal Care Worker, or have previous experience providing personal cares and ability to successfully complete Personal Care Worker Orientation.
• Must possess a high school diploma/equivalent and/or related work/life experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid WI driver's license, and ability to meet agency driving standards.
• Must provide proof of auto insurance.
• Must pass a periodic WI Caregiver Background Checks including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks, and/or that of previous states of residence.
