Job summary

Right at Home Sonoma, CA is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to support clients with daily living activities and independence. You will provide mobility help, meal prep, hygiene assistance, dressing support, and gentle reminders, while building trust with each client.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid vehicle insurance.
• Willing to register as a Home Care Aide in California.
• Resident of or near Marin, Sonoma, or Napa counties.

Job description

Right at Home Sonoma is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team of caregivers. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide safety and support to individuals who need a helping hand, focusing on their well-being, comfort, and independence.

Weekday and weekend shifts currently available!

Responsibilities:

• Provide mobility assistance, meal preparation, personal hygiene, dressing, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and companionship

• Run errands and transport clients to appointments

• Develop a strong understanding of each client's unique needs and preferences

• Cooperate with Care Coordinators to ensure seamless client care

Pay and Benefits:

• Competitive pay ($20-$23.00 an hour, based on type of shift)

• Flexible schedule (day, night, weekend, long or short shifts, regular or fill-ins only)

• Weekly paychecks

• Paid mileage when transporting clients

• Overtime pay for long shifts and holidays

• Paid sick time

Ongoing Training and Development for Personal Care Assistants:

• Annual Training available online or in the office

• Support from local Care Coordinators - who will introduce you personally to each new client and provide an overview of their needs

• Opportunities for optional additional training if you wish to expand the types of clients you can serve

Requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States

• Valid drivers license

• Valid vehicle insurance

• Willing to register as a Home Care Aide as required by the state of California

• Currently living in or near Marin, Sonoma, or Napa counties
