Job summary

Right at Home in Gatesville, TX is seeking compassionate caregivers to assist seniors with daily living activities in home settings. No CNA required; you’ll help with personal care, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping while following supervisor guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and insured automobile.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living support (personal hygiene, dressing, ambulation).
• Assist with meals, grooming, and mobility.
• Accompany patient to appointments and run errands.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation per instructions.
• Provide hospice supportive care and monitor patient well-being as taught by supervisor.

Essential Functions

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Personal Hygiene
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Dressing/Shaving
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
• Performs light housekeeping activities

Performs patient-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home Supervisor. These could include

• Providing hospice supportive care
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Assisting with blood glucose monitoring
• Care of bed-bound patients
• Incontinence care
• Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts

Qualifications and Skills

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and insured automobile
