Job summary

Home or Away LLC is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Aide to provide hands-on support for clients in their own homes. You will work one-on-one with clients to ensure safety, comfort, and dignity, assisting with daily living tasks and documenting care activities.

Responsibilities include ADL support, health advocacy, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and safe transfers. Certification in CPR/First Aid and HIPAA awareness are required; prior home care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Background in home care, assisted living, or memory care preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Solid understanding of patient privacy (HIPAA).
  • Ability to assist with transfers and physical tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal communication with clients and families.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For
  • Background: Prior experience in home care, assisted living, or memory care environments is preferred.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or developmental disabilities (Autism/IDD) is a plus.
  • Compliance: A solid understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy standards.
  • Credentials: Current CPR and First Aid certification is required (must be obtained prior to start date).
  • Physical Ability: Capability to safely assist with physical tasks and manual transfers.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, families, and supervisors.
