Job summary

Bank of Montreal (BMO) is seeking a Branch Customer Advisor to deliver exceptional service to customers and prospects. You will identify needs and offer tailored financial solutions across everyday banking, lending, and investments.

The role works with branch teams and partners to grow loyalty, complete needs assessments, and promote digital/self-serve options, while ensuring compliant, risk-aware recommendations.

Qualifications

• Typically between 2-3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent
• Appropriate lending qualifications and designations
• Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions
• Experience in financial services is an asset
• Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools and applications
• Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects.
• Identifies customer needs and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in customers' best interests.
• Engages customers to complete needs assessments that identify financial solutions.
• Promotes digital and self-serve options to make banking easy, simple and fast.
• Supports customer transactions needs based on customer traffic.
• Engages customers to grow BMO's business by building new relationships within the community.
• Addresses questions and resolves issues raised through audits and checks to ensure compliant lending recommendations.
• Applies risk management framework to protect the Bank's assets and maintain portfolio quality.
