Job summary

Great Oaks Bank in Georgia is seeking a friendly Personal Banker I to assist customers with everyday banking needs, perform teller transactions, and provide account servicing.

You will build positive relationships, educate customers on products and technology, and ensure transactions are accurate and compliant with bank policies and regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous cash-handling, customer service, or banking experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn and apply banking policies, procedures, products, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, professional service to customers in person, by phone, and through other available channels.
  • Perform routine teller transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining appropriate cash controls and balancing standards.
  • Assist customers with account servicing and maintenance needs within established procedures and assigned authority.
  • Perform vault control responsibilities when assigned, including maintaining appropriate security, access, and control procedures.
  • Educate customers about the Bank’s products, services, account options, and available banking technology to meet their financial needs.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships and refer customers to the appropriate team member when additional products or services may benefit them.
  • Process account and transaction documentation accurately and ensure required information and signatures are obtained.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Bank policies, procedures, products, services, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Follow BSA, CIP, and OFAC procedures as outlined in the Bank’s BSA Policy.
  • Protect customer privacy and confidential information in accordance with Bank policies and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Assist with branch operations and other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the branch.
  • Adhere to established security, internal control, and risk management procedures.
  • Participate in required training and maintain knowledge necessary to perform assigned responsibilities effectively.
  • Adhere to and abide by Great Oaks Bank’s Core Values, Mission, and Vision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs and overall success of the branch and Bank.
  • May assist with training or mentoring new team members as assigned.

Personal Banker I is a customer-focused member of the Retail Banking team responsible for providing exceptional service and assisting customers with their everyday banking needs. This position performs routine teller transactions, provides account servicing and maintenance support, and assists customers with banking products, services, and technology. The Personal Banker I builds positive customer relationships while ensuring transactions and account activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with Bank policies and applicable regulations.
