Job summary

Citi in Fremont, CA is seeking an entry-level Personal Banker to support the sales and customer service team, building loyalty with individual consumer clients and increasing sales.

Responsibilities include handling small business lending referrals under $250K, cross-selling treasury and related products, and growing the client book through COIs and MGM initiatives. Roles require strong communication and adherence to Citi policies.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technologies.
• NMLS registration; Safe Act compliant.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with business credit requests less than $250K, recognize/refer larger lending opportunities and cross sell treasury and related small business products
• Build referral business opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and the MGM Program
• Assist in strategies to grow the small business client and implement sales plans
• Deliver client services/outbound/inbound calls to acquire and deepen relationships through cross-sell
• Provide coaching to Tellers and branch staff on products and referrals
• Educate clients on service channels and present product offers/financial solutions
• Comply with Citi policies, standards and procedures
• Assess risk and uphold firm's reputation, escalating control issues with transparency
