• Achieve sales goals by recommending Bank products to clients and cross-selling when appropriate.
• Assist in opening/closing procedures and maintain banking security during lobby operations.
• Control access to Safe deposit area following procedures.
• Resolve client issues directly or via referrals.

PERSONAL BANKER

Summary:Recognize and meet client needs by proactively selling and cross-selling appropriate products and services to new and existing clients. Provides excellent customer service, performs client maintenance requests, and resolves problems. Supports the efforts and goals of the banking center through personal sales of the Bank’s products and services and use of referrals as appropriate across lines of business.

Job functions:

• Act as the pleasant front-response associate to all entering bank clients.
• Cash handling, including maintenance of drawer and preparation of daily branch capture, disbursements & deposits and recording, proofing transactions in accordance with well-defined routine Bank policies/procedures.
• Accurately conduct all credit and debit transactions to include receiving checking and savings deposits/withdrawals, checking endorsements, and accepting checks for cashing, issuing traveler’s checks, money orders, and official bank checks.
• Keep proper cash supply on hand and prepare daily proof record while maintaining an acceptable difference record.
• Provide myriad client in-banking center services. These may include, but are not limited to: opening new accounts, issuing counter checks, issuing traveler’s checks, performing money transfers, redeeming savings bonds, responding to customer calls.
• Perform client service transactions including: address changes, performing stop payments, taking check orders, giving account balances, maintaining client records.
• Achieve sales goals by utilizing knowledge of Bank products and the clients’ needs and desires. Teach clients the merits of each product/service to help them reach the best solutions for their individual circumstances.
• Assist in opening/closing procedures and maintain banking security policies to ensure proper lobby management.
• Control access to Safe deposit area and boxes based on standard procedures.
• Resolve client issues through direct action or by referral to other Bank sources.

Position Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent (GED).
• 1+ years of experience working in a financial institution as a personal banker & teller required.
• Knowledgeable in financial institution operating policies and procedures and banking regulations state and federal.

• Use established procedures and guidelines with minimal supervision.
• Resolve basic client and teller questions & problems. Consult or refer more complex issues to superiors.
