WaFd Bank is hiring a Personal Banker to help clients with personal and business banking solutions that improve their financial health and help them reach their goals.

WaFd Bank has served consumers and business clients across nine Western states for over a century. You will build rapport, open new accounts, originate loans, make business development calls, and ensure compliance with federal regulations while upholding WaFd Bank's values of integrity, teamwork, and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or approved equivalent.
• Good math skills, 10-key and keyboarding.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word, Teams, PowerBI and Outlook.
• Well-developed smart phone and digital channel skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with superior written and oral communication.
• Ability to demonstrate how to use automated technology to teach clients self-service skills.
• Must have valid driver's license, transportation, and adequate insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

As a personal banker, you will:

• Build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and provide solutions.

• Make out-of-office business development calls to businesses, community organizations, and referral sources.
• Adhere to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with Federal regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act and OFAC regulations.
• Reflect the core values and ethics of WaFd Bank, including integrity, teamwork, ownership, simplicity, discipline, and service. In addition, they must be kind.

Qualifications

Education/Skills/Training:

• High school diploma or approved equivalent.
• Good math skills, 10-key and keyboarding.
• Proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Teams, PowerBI and Outlook.
• Well-developed smart phone and digital channel skills.
• Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills and superior written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate how to use automated technology to teach clients self-service skills.
• Must have valid driver's license, satisfactory transportation, and adequate insurance coverage.

Experience:

• Prior banking experience, including familiarity with lending, previous work in retail, consumer service delivery, or client relation.
