Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Minimum 1–3 years' Personal Banker experience or equivalent in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Fiserv Premier and Director preferred.
• New Account opening experience.
• Proficient with Fiserv Premier and Director.
• Proficient understanding of Bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to present information effectively to clients and colleagues.
• Knowledge of business account documentation and requirements.
• Understand products/services used by clients and associated risks.
• Understanding of Wire Transfers and related risks.
• Able to communicate critical information within time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a portfolio of Commercial Banking clients and opens accounts for clients.
• Delivers high levels of customer service via telephone and email, aiming for first-call resolution.
• Maintains strong product, operational and banking knowledge to resolve issues.
• Complies with Bank policies, procedures, regulations and audit standards.
• Prepares client correspondence and ensures completeness of legal documentation for new accounts.
• Provides ongoing relationship servicing to maintain goodwill and respond to inquiries.

Responsible for managing customer accounts and promoting banking products and services. Assisting customers with various banking transactions and responsible for supporting and delivering quality customer service in a fast paced, exciting and ever-changing environment in the Commercial Servicing Department. The Personal Banker is the first level of contact performing client facing functions for the operations area of the department whose focus is servicing a diverse portfolio of commercial clients. Personal bankers also strive to build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

What you will do:

• Oversees a portfolio of Commercial Banking clients. Opens all accounts for clients. Answers all client inquiries regarding accounts, products and services.

• Provides highest level of service to all clients and maintain exemplary customer service standards primarily by telephone and email. Effectively respond to client needs with emphasis on first call resolution.

• Maintain strong product, operational and commercial banking knowledge in order to effectively resolve issues.

• Consistently comply with all Bank policies and procedures, regulations and compliance requirements in order to prevent losses and meet audit standards.

• Prepare correspondence to clients and their designees as appropriate. Ensure completeness of legal documentation on new account set up.

• Provides ongoing relationship servicing with clients to maintain goodwill. Responds to customer inquiries and requests regarding account.

• May represent the Bank in civic and community events to enhance the reputation of Mechanics Bank and expand business opportunities.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

• High School or GED required.

• Minimum one to three years' experience as a Personal Banker or equivalent experience in a fast paced, ever-changing environment preferred.

• Experience with Fiserv Premier and Director preferred.

• New Account opening experience.

• Proficient with Fiserv Premier, and Director.

• Proficient understanding of Bank policies and procedures, regulations and compliance requirements in order to prevent losses and meet audit standards.

• Ability to effectively present information to clients and other employees of the Bank.

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of business account documentation and requirements.

• Understand products and services utilized by clients as well as the risks and benefits

• Understand processing Wire Transfers and associated risks.

• Be comfortable communicating critical information to clients within specific time constraints.

Pay Range: $24.00 - $34.00 hourly

AIP Bonus Up To 5%
