About This Position

Personal Banker at Commerce Bank is a retail banking role that builds and maintains long‑lasting relationships with customers and internal departments. The goal is to uncover each customer’s financial needs and guide them toward suitable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent customer experience in person and over the phone.
• Listen actively to identify customers’ financial needs and make appropriate recommendations.
• Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions to improve their financial wellness.
• Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Establish relationships with other internal departments and refer customers to bank specialists when complex needs are identified.
• Earn additional compensation through a quarterly incentive program.

Essential Functions

• Interact with customers in person and over the phone to ensure their financial needs are met.
• Actively listen, understand, and make recommendations of products and services based on customer needs to achieve individual and team sales goals.
• Educate customers on retail products and digital solutions to enhance the customer experience and support sales objectives.
• Ensure accurate and efficient completion of financial transactions, complying with all policies and regulations.
• Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to bank specialists when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Details

• Work type: Part time with schedule Monday – Friday 7:45AM – 5:15PM and Saturday 8:15AM – 12:15PM.
• Location: 209 East Main Street, California, Missouri 65018.
• Compensation: $20.55 – $25.05 per hour, with additional incentive compensation.
• The role may be classified as Personal Banker I or Personal Banker II based on experience and education.
