Job summary

The United States Department of Defense seeks a Computer Assisted Ordering Technician to maintain accurate perpetual inventory balance on hand (BOH) levels and determine optimum ordering quantities to ensure product availability for patrons in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) facility.

You must meet OPM qualifications for series 1101 and the announcement closing date; your resume (and transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-4.
• Experience may be in federal service, private sector, or military.
• Education: four years of post-high school education.
• Combination of experience and education allowed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate perpetual inventory balance on hand (BOH).
• Determine optimum ordering quantities and ensure product availability.
• Use handheld terminals to gather data and update inventory.
• Order product and/or maintain perpetual inventory.
