Job summary

The ideal candidate will ensure licenses and insurance documentation are up-to-date, compliant with regulations, and manage project permitting in an office setting (not hybrid). Responsibilities include coordinating with project managers and inspectors, maintaining compliance, and building strong relationships with authorities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in permit management, preferably in the electrical, HVAC, and plumbing industries.
• Strong knowledge of state and local permit regulations and requirements.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in team environments.
• 10+ years of experience in permit management or a trade-related role.
• Ability to manage, motivate, mentor, train, and coach individuals and teams to maximize performance.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, manage, and renew permits for electrical, HVAC, and plumbing projects across various state and local jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
• Maintain current and valid company trade licenses and accurate records of all permits and licenses.
• Coordinate with project managers and contractors to ensure timely and complete permit acquisition.
• Review incoming project submissions to verify permit readiness and alignment with company best practices and qualifications.
• Monitor changes in permitting requirements and provide guidance to the team on permitting processes and regulatory updates.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with inspectors and jurisdictional authorities.
