Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Permission Planner in Austin, TX to coordinate access with property owners, schedule field work, and obtain permission for vegetation work near energized facilities. The role involves travel between job sites and daily customer interactions with homeowners, businesses, and local government.

The ideal candidate has arboricultural experience or a related degree, plus relevant certifications or willingness to obtain them.

Qualifications

3 years of arboricultural, horticultural, or vegetation-related experience OR a 2-year or 4-year degree in a related subject.
Experience with Utility Vegetation Management is preferred.
ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Utility Specialist, ISA TRAQ, CTSP Certification, OSHA-30, preferred.
GO95 and state wildland fire codes. ISA Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Discuss access, power interruption, and required work with the customer or property owner.
Addresses responsibility for visible property damage and handles repairs for minor damage, referring disputed cases to the General Foreperson.
Frequently travels between job sites as required.
Performs Customer Service and scheduling: Daily interaction with homeowners, businesses, and local government.
Obtains oral or written permission from property owners to trim or remove trees and apply herbicides near high-voltage electric facilities.
