Job summary

C&L Inspection is seeking a Distribution Inspector 3 for field work in Permian Basin, TX. You will oversee distribution construction inspections, including main and service lines, tie-ins and retirements, and lead leak detection efforts.

Requires API 1169 certification and 5–6 years of hands-on experience with capital rebuilds, relocations, and regulatory compliance. Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years of hands-on pipeline inspection experience focusing on capital rebuilds and relocations.
• API 1169 Certification required.
• Experience overseeing large-scale projects from start to finish.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail for inspection and reporting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with PHMSA Part 192, OSHA safety, and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect distribution construction activities: main line installation, service line installation, tie-ins, retirements, leak repair, regulator settings, weld mapping.
• Lead capital rebuild and relocation projects from planning to execution.
• Detect leaks using advanced techniques to minimize environmental impact.
• Ensure inspections meet regulatory standards.
• Communicate findings clearly to clients and internal teams.
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards and tools (PHMSA Part 192, OSHA, Maximo/Moblite, Locus IQ, Pragma CAD, ONE MAP, as-built drawings).
