Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 20 instructional days total of successful LKSD substitute teacher experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work with students in a school setting.
• Ability to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan environment.
• Ability to carry out successfully the duties described below.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out classroom and other activities pursuant to the written plans of the teacher and/or the instructions of the Site Administrators.
• Meeting and instructing assigned classes in the locations and at the times designed.
• Encouraging students to set and maintain high standards of classroom behavior.
• Establishing and maintaining cooperative relations with others.
• Being responsible for monitoring the behavior of all students within his sight and hearing during the workday.
• Supervising lunchrooms, playground, bus loading areas, etc.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Salary

$25.26 to $29.36 per hour.
