Job summary

HUDSON PUBLIC SCHOOLS in Hudson, Massachusetts seeks a Permanent Building Substitute to provide instruction and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.

The position reports to the Building Principal, requires a High School Diploma (G.E.D. acceptable) and CORI/fingerprint clearance, with preferred Associates or Bachelor’s Degree and teaching experience. Salary is a salaried position with benefits and a 26-paycheck structure noted.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reports to the building principal or school secretary upon arrival for daily assignment.
• Reviews with the principal all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day.
• Maintains established routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
• Teaches the lesson outlined and as prepared by the absent teacher.
• Oversees student behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods.
• Follows policies and procedures applicable to regular teachers.
