Job summary

Stafflucid in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking an X-ray Technologist I for a full-time day shift. Responsibilities include performing standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, operating equipment, and maintaining related records. The role requires graduating from a Radiologic Technology program and ARRT with BLS certification.

You will also review patient factors, assist physicians, participate in QA/QC, and train students as needed in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
• Certified Radiology Technologist (ARRT) and BLS certification.
• Experience with standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations.

Responsibilities

• Performs standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques.
• Operates all equipment within modality.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices.
• Reviews and analyzes patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology in performing examinations.
• Assists physician with various procedures.
• Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs.
• Maintains related records and notations.
• Assists in Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required.
• Participates in the educational training of students.
