Job summary

Food Lion in Hampstead, NC is seeking a team member for the Perishable Department to provide quality customer service, maintain department standards, and maximize sales while minimizing shrink through proper use of the standard practice.

You will handle receiving, stocking, pricing and display, operate the ACIS and CAO tools, follow food safety guidelines, and contribute to a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store properly.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying merchandise per policies.
• Maintain product levels in Perishable Department areas including meat, dairy, etc.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Wear Food Lion uniform with name badge; comply with dress code; complete CBT and training as required.
