Job summary

Food Lion in Lillington, NC is seeking a team member for the Perishable Department. You will provide fast, friendly customer service, maintain product levels, and assist with receiving and stocking.

Responsibilities include adhering to safety guidelines, processing deliveries, and ensuring quality standards across meat, dairy, and other perishables. Must be able to stand long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department.
• Maintain standards in accordance with the standard practice manual and maximize sales through excellent customer service.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store in appropriate area.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policies.
• Maintain product levels in Perishable Department (meat, lunchmeat, dairy, ice cream).
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents to the Manager on Duty.
